Call for abstracts in the last, Deadline: June 30th, 2018!
TRANSED 2018 invites researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates to submit abstracts for papers or posters for the conference. An international panel of specialists in the field of accessible transportation will review submitted abstracts, and authors will be notified no later than July 30 if their abstract is accepted as the basis for a presentation at TRANSED 2018. Authors will have until September 30 to submit their paper or poster based on the accepted abstract.
Once finalized, abstracts, papers, presentations, and posters may be included among the conference proceedings, which will be available on the TRANSED Permanent Secretariat website (http://transedconferences.com). Proceedings may also be available in other digital and printed formats.
The review panel will select papers for dissemination, based on quality and their contribution to the field of transportation for older adults and people with disabilities. Selected papers will be submitted to The Transportation Research Board (TRB, part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in the United States) for inclusion in a Transportation Research Circular on the 2018 TRANSED Conference. The publication will be completed in early 2019 and will be available electronically. The Circular will be publicized by TRB, the TRANSED Permanent Secretariat, Eden Social Welfare Foundation, and other organizations, and will have a searchable ISSN.
