The specifications below provide important guidelines for the organization and formatting of papers to be published in the proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Mobility and Transport for Elderly and Disabled Persons, TRANSED 2018. Authors whose abstracts have been accepted must follow the instructions provided. Papers that do not adhere to the guidelines may not be considered for publication. All accepted Abstracts, Presentation materials and Papers in CD-ROM format will be distributed to all registrants at the Conference.
Please note that some of the details below have been updated to reflect the example file in Word.
The conference will be in English. Papers may be submitted and presented in English.

Copyrights and Previously Published Material
Papers previously published or presented elsewhere will not be accepted. Authors who have submitted abstracts have assigned the right to the Conference organizers to publish the abstracts and final papers in the TRANSED 2018 Conference Proceedings.
Length of Papers
The length of each paper, including the summary, references, tables, photographs and figures, must not exceed 10 pages.
Electronic File Formats
- The electronic versions of presentation material are required for submission. Material must be submitted in Microsoft Powerpoint format. Files must not exceed 20MB in size.(Audiovisual Aids and Speaking Tips)

Use 12 point Times New Roman throughout the paper.
Text should be aligned left.
The last name(s) of the author(s) is to be located in the top left margin beginning on the second page, with the page number in the top right corner.
Margins and Paper Size
Paper size must be Letter (216 mm by 279 mm or 8.5” x 11”). Margins are 2.5 cm (1”) all around (normal margins – note that the template has a slightly smaller top margin, but 2.5 cm is preferred)
All references that are cited in the text should be included in the reference list. The references should be listed alphabetically according to the primary author’s last name. References should use the style indicated below where applicable:
Example for printed sources:
Author’s last name, author’s first name or initials. Year. “Title of the article”, The Journal, Volume, Issue, page number (e.g.: pp. 15 – 26).
Example for websites:
Corporate or personal authors. Year. Title of document. (i.e., Internet, Intranet or Online). Available from: web address (complete URL), date accessed by the author.
Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be centered and numbered consecutively and each must have a caption. Figure captions are located under the figure; table captions are located above the table. Captions must provide an adequate description of the figure or table. This is especially important for delegates with visual impairments and who must rely on readers to access the information.
